From June 2002 to September 2015, Jayne had the opportunity to take time at home with her 3 children: Samantha, Anthony and Nick. In September 2015, Jayne received her Real Estate License in both Kansas and Missouri. The following February, she joined ReeceNichols and the Koehler Bortnick Team. She now resides in Leawood, Kansas.

From 1997 to 2002, Jayne worked as a Natural Gas and Electricity Trader at Aquila Energy Marketing in Kansas City, MO. Jayne’s primary responsibilities included: buying and selling wholesale natural gas and power on a day-to-day basis to a multitude of utility customers and other trade shops such as Enron and Dynasty. After she and her husband Dave married in 2003, Jayne spent a majority of her time with her children and upgrading their home in The Hills of IronHorse, working directly with the Builder and General Contractor Brian Koehler. She worked with the various subcontractors such as SwimThings, Stonescapes, Decorative Concrete, Designer Palms and Sieger Electric. The upgrade project was a complete finish of their lower level along with a full backyard design including pool, cabana, lanai and landscape. This project included working with the City of Leawood to define the code for a detached pool cabana as no code had currently existed. This code is still in effect based on the work Jayne did with the City of Leawood.

In 2005, Jayne worked with Brian Koehler again on the building of Dave’s parents’ home in Town & Country Manor, Overland Park. The $1-million home required her to work with Town & Country’s HOA to define an acceptable design; this time for a detached 4-car garage. This code then became the standard in which any future detached garages in Town & Country would be based.

Outside of work, Jayne’s hobbies include:

Competitive bodybuilding where she competed in 2014 in the Figure Division, earning her Pro Card for the International Federation of Physique Athletes. In September 2015, Jayne made her Pro Debut competing in the KC Classic Pro-International.

Jayne and her husband Dave also love cooking and going Deep Sea Tournament fishing.

The family is heavily involved in competitive baseball for each of the boys.
